Job summary

SAB BIO is seeking a Clinical Sample Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee operational activities supporting global clinical trials. You will manage central laboratory vendors and sample management, ensuring timely, compliant delivery of services and adherence to timelines and quality standards.

You will collaborate with Clinical Operations, QA, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure vendor performance, budgets, and study objectives are met. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, laboratory science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant clinical operations experience including clinical laboratory operations and 2+ years in sample management.
• Experience managing central/clinical/specialty laboratory operations/data/vendors in trials.
• Understanding of ICH‑GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with clinical data systems and data reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight of assigned clinical trial service providers, ensuring services are delivered on time and to standards.
• Serve as the primary clinical operations contact for lab vendors.
• Oversee lab vendor activities from startup to closeout, including setup, kit design, sample requirements and data delivery.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper handling of lab samples (PK/PD, biomarkers, etc.).
• Review and input into study documents such as protocols and ICFs.
• Oversee sample management activities including site supply, kit ordering, shipment tracking, data reporting and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with vendors and study teams to ensure compliant study execution.
