Job summary

Otsuka seeks a Director, Global Clinical Development (GCD) to lead design and oversight of clinical research programs for OPDC products. This role can be remote or based in Princeton, NJ or Rockville, MD, and requires strategic leadership across rheumatology, nephrology, or immunology programs.

Responsibilities include directing trials, evaluating results, and guiding regulatory filings while managing CROs and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality clinical

Qualifications

• Clinician with rheumatology, nephrology or immunology background; management experience preferred.
• 3–6 years in pharma industry or academic translational research.
• Strong knowledge of clinical medicine and science management; ability to reach business outcomes on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Designs and oversees clinical research programs and protocols for OPDC products.
• Acts as internal medical/scientific consultant to cross-functional teams and external regulators.
• Authors program strategies and oversees trials to determine safety, efficacy, and value of candidates.
• Interprets Phase I–IV results for NDA submissions and safety documents.
• Provides strategic oversight of vendor and CRO relationships and governance.
• Supports regulatory filings and documents with clear, concise messaging.
