Job summary

Roquette is seeking a Global Category Specialist Chemicals to join the Direct Materials Procurement team. Based in Midland, MI; Wilmington, DE; or Geneva, IL, with travel primarily in North America.

You will develop and execute procurement strategies for a global chemicals portfolio, manage supplier performance, and drive cost and risk reduction while aligning with Roquette’s strategic objectives. You will lead negotiations, optimize the supplier base, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or Supply Chain; chemical background a plus.
• At least five years of procurement experience in chemicals or related categories.
• At least five years of negotiation experience with sourcing, contract management and TCO approaches.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industry with regulatory understanding.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken; ERP experience (SAP or Oracle).
• CPSM/ISM certification or an equivalent procurement qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate and execute procurement strategies for a global chemicals portfolio.
• Lead category strategies and optimize supplier base with regional/global alignment.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance and contracts for the portfolio.
• Perform spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking and portfolio optimization.
• Drive working capital improvements through supplier collaboration and terms negotiation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, R&D and Manufacturing Technology.
