Job summary

Electrolux Group North America is seeking a leader to manage chemical compliance across product lines, including Taste, Care and Well Being. You will develop and manage compliance processes and report to the North America Director of Product Safety, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs.

You will interface with engineering, purchasing and legal teams to provide guidance, lead AHAM collaborations, and drive global regulatory adherence for REACH, RoHS, TSCA, and PFAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering required, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years appliance product design related experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents.
• Ensure documents satisfy federal, state, and local requirements.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance controls and procedures.
• Participate on AHAM Steering Committee as a member.
• Act as North America's SME for Chemical Compliance and participate on Group Committee.
• Coordinate legislative updates and provide input to AHAM Steering Committee and North American Leadership Team.
• Collect data on chemical usage to assist AHAM and updates.
• Establish Group chemical compliance program in North America and manage supplier inputs.
• Maintain North American input for the Electrolux Restricted Material List (RML) and update as needed.
• Work with materials department to evaluate components meet chemical compliance and sustainability requirements; communicate actions to remove banned chemicals.
• Collaborate with other department managers to ensure goals and maintain team spirit.
• Resolve potential Chemical Compliance issues proactively.
• Ensure integration of chemical compliance program at Cross Functional Team meetings in each project.
• Provide input to the Manager of Product Safety for EPM and CP meetings.
• Develop departmental policies and ensure consistency of procedures.
• Ensure compliance with global chemical regulations including REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Proposition 65, PFAS restrictions.
• Manage all data inputs for the Product Safety Team from consumers and customers; communicate events to Product Safety team and North American Leadership
