Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Global Chemical Compliance SME, located in multiple U.S. sites.

The role provides leadership to ensure DePuy Synthes products comply with evolving chemical legislation worldwide, translating requirements into practical strategies across development, manufacturing, and regulatory submissions. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to manage risk, strengthen governance, and maintain market access.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
• 10+ years of global regulatory/chemical compliance experience.
• Ability to translate technical and legal information into practical guidance.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as global SME for chemical compliance including EU REACH, US TSCA, RoHS, and other regulations.
• Monitor legislation and translate impacts into implementation strategies.
• Develop policies and governance for restricted substances and product safety.
• Partner cross‑functionally to embed requirements into product development and lifecycle decisions.
• Lead governance reviews and support audits and regulatory assessments.
• Represent DePuy Synthes in trade associations and support global advocacy.
