Job summary

Capital One is seeking an Associate for the Finance Risk Management (FRM) team. The FRM program focuses on robust risk management across Finance, influencing stakeholders and regulators while improving efficiency.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ownership of work streams, and clear communication to diverse audiences. The candidate will collaborate with global teams, support international risk management initiatives, and assist audits and regulatory exams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• 1+ years of Risk Management experience in Finance, Compliance, Audit, Payments or a combination.
• Experience with regulatory compliance assessment and mitigation.
• Experience with international risk reporting.
• Effective communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
• Experience with process mapping and/or enterprise risk management systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a diverse set of processes in Finance by leveraging a risk management mindset.
• Identify international risks and support control improvements.
• Support implementation of international risk management framework for Finance.
• Assess contemplated international expansion and provide risk perspective to Finance leaders.
• Coordinate with risk teams to align on policies and procedures.
• Support operational reporting and governance forums with second line of defense.
