Abbott Park, IL-based Quality Manager, CAPA will provide corporate-level leadership for CAPA and nonconformance within Abbott's global Quality System. The role requires expertise in investigation, corrective and preventive action, and cross-functional collaboration across business divisions.

The incumbent will stay current with regulatory expectations, participate in industry groups, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, coaching teams, and remediation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life or Engineering Sciences.
• 10+ years of experience with 6 years in nonconformance and CAPA processes.
• 4 years in Quality Assurance and/or Compliance, managerial or SME role; 10+ years in medical device/pharma.
• 3 years of project management experience.
• Total 10–12 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead global committees to achieve quality systems objectives.
• Act as corporate liaison on nonconformance, investigation and CAPA.
• Remain current on regulatory requirements and update policies as needed.
• Participate in industry groups related to responsibility areas.
• Improve Abbott's Quality Systems by analyzing data and intelligence.
• Lead remediation, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Scope includes Abbott-wide quality projects and CAPA communities of practice.
• Manage confidential information across the project lifecycle.
• Interact with executive management on assigned projects.
