Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Precision Medicine Global Biomarker Lead - Rare Disease to drive biomarker strategies that align with precision medicine goals. You will lead to inform target engagement, pharmacodynamics, and patient selection across programs, overseeing assay readiness and vendor management in a global development context.

The role requires collaboration with clinical development, research, and medical affairs.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate/Masters/Bachelors in bioscience or medical discipline with 3+–8+ years in industry required as listed.
  • Experience in developing program-based clinical biomarker strategies and cross-functional clinical study teams.
  • Experience with biomarker platforms, assay development, and vendor/CRO management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of clinical biomarker strategies across early to late-stage programs.
  • Serve as subject matter expert within cross-functional product teams for translational medicine.
  • Oversee biomarker elements in protocols, analysis plans, submissions, and meetings.
  • Plan biomarker study implementation including vendor evaluations and budgets.
  • Communicate biomarker findings to cross-functional and R&D leadership.
  • Establish collaborations with academic labs and KOLs.
