Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Global Beverage Applications Intern for Summer 2027 in Bridgewater, NJ (On Site). You will support research projects in Beverage Applications, perform lab experiments, analyze data, and generate insights to address customer and market needs.

You will collaborate with the Global Applications team and present findings to management at project milestones. The role offers hands-on beverage formulation experience, analytical testing, and data-driven problem

As the Global Beverage Applications Intern, you will support the development and execution of research projects within Ingredion’s Global Beverage Category, exploring ingredient technologies, formulation strategies, and emerging consumer trends. You will have the opportunity to evaluate ingredient interactions, assess functionality in a variety of beverage applications, and generate insights that help address key customer and market needs. This role offers hands-on experience in beverage formulation, product development, analytical testing, and data-driven problem solving while collaborating with the Global Applications team.What you will do:Conduct searches on prior art (literature, patents), and current technology including competitive activity on related projects, and summarizing the outcomes in appropriate reportPerform laboratory experiments, conduct data analysis and interpret results to make recommendations to project team and support the projectCoordinate, summarize and report data generated from these experimentsMaintain clear and organized project records; effectively communicating results to project teams and partnersPresent research findings to management with recommendations for future New Product Development or Applied Research projects at completion of internship periodCollaborate effectively with laboratory colleagues, cross-functional teams, and business partners to support project goalsWhat you will bring:Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in food science, biochemistry or related field with laboratory research experienceAbility to work safely in a laboratory environmentInterpersonal, verbal and written technical communication skills, e.g. making presentations and writing technical data/reportsReliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work dayWho you are:Eager to explore careers in the food & beverage industryAbility to work collaboratively with peers and othersCuriosity and creativity with a customer-focused mind-set, ability to proactively inspire change.Creative problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindsetDesire to see and drive resultsTo be eligible for consideration, candidates must:Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
