Job Description

The Structured Finance Analytics team within the Global Banking & Markets division is seeking a motivated professional to support the Credit & Asset Finance business. The team has expertise across residential assets, consumer loans, real estate, and warehouse financing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Job Duties
  1. Act as a client advisor and perform analytics on all principal and third-party securitization transactions, including but not limited to NPL, RPL, PJ, Agency, Non-QM, SFR, MSR, Investor Occupied, Second Lien, Fix and Flip, iBuyer, and Mortgage Insurance Linked Notes. Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with clients and perform data tape creation from various sources such as settlement data, latest month-end servicer data, TPR due diligence data, and originator data.
  • Perform data validations and create portfolio-level stratification and replines.
  • Conduct portfolio collateral analysis.
  • Provide pool-level CPR speeds, loss severity, and credit enhancement metrics from RA models (Fitch, KBRA, Moodys, Milan).
  • Assist in preparing credit memos and PPM materials with outside accountants and lawyers.
  • Perform asset pool selection based on contribution requirements for ABS/CMBS securitization. Work with rating agencies and develop historical performance matrices (CPR, CDR, charge-offs, recoveries, losses) to project future performance.
  • Coordinate monthly final package tie-outs with accountants and agencies (Fannie/Freddie/Ginnie) for the CMO trading desk.
  • Evaluate daily mark-to-market on all MSR warehouse lines and provide recommendations on OAS spreads considering recent rate environment changes.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with the desk, IBD, transaction management, diligence, operations, controllers, and technology teams to ensure accurate monthly portfolio reporting.
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent)
    • 0-3 years of experience in residential loans, fixed income, or related internships
    • 3+ years of experience for the Associate role
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other STEM fields
    • Experience in collateral analytics and RA runs on RMBS/CMBS deals, especially from Big Four accounting firms, is highly preferred.
    • Advanced Excel skills, including functions like VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, INDEX/MATCH, INDIRECT, etc.
    • Technical skills such as CAS, Excel VBA, SQL; knowledge of Python is a strong plus.
    • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
