Job description

Job Duties: Vice President, Banker - Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Lead detailed financial analysis on individual, public, and/or privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, focusing either on specific client coverage within an industry or geographic area. Review financial reports and statements, budgets and forecasts and other financial information. Design custom reports to assist Firm's investment committee and/or portfolio companies in making investment decisions by outlining the considerations and risks of a particular investment including historical performance and future expectations. Engage in significant interactions with management at companies to build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis. Assist in ongoing investment or portfolio management duties, including quarterly valuations, assessing needs for future capital, helping with business development, and/or serving on boards and assessing exit opportunities. Research and grow expertise around various trends, themes and business models across the industrial space. Supervise production of presentation materials for investment discussions and mentor junior and mid-level team members. Travel required 20% to client meetings and for live deal execution. All travel expenses reimbursed by the Firm.


Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field such as Financial Management and two (2) years of experience in job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field such as Financial Management and five (5) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with Master's OR five (5) years of experience with Bachelor's with the following: interviewing senior management, reviewing strategic operating plans, and analyzing historical and projected financial performance; performing valuation analyses, including DCF, LBO, accretion & dilution analysis and ability-to-pay analysis, public trading comparables, precedent transactions, and sum-of-the-parts analysis by leveraging financial services databases; project management and execution of M&A transactions, including preparing deal origination pitch materials, engagement letters, marketing materials for sell-side transactions, roadshow presentations and prospectuses for IPOs and other equity offerings, marketing materials for debt offerings, and publicly filed press releases and investor presentations; preparing presentations for C-Suite level corporate clients on topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activities, restructuring alternatives or corporate governance issues; managing live deal execution, including running due diligence processes, negotiating non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers, and organizing and attending roadshows; reviewing, guiding and coordinating junior professionals' work product, including financial modeling and presentations for internal and client audiences; and market data applications and Microsoft Excel to track volumes, workflow, and projects, including managing large datasets, and V-lookups to minimize manual processes and efficiently manage risk. FINRA Series 79 license required or must obtain within three (3) months of hire.


Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $250,000 - $300,000.
