Job summary

CBTS is seeking an experienced AWS Architect to serve as the Lead Technical resource for a team of offshore Public Cloud Engineers. This role also acts as backup technical lead for the OpenShift team, providing coverage during PTO, sickness, or other absences.

You will design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud architecture with a focus on reliability and operational stability, while mentoring distributed engineers and communicating decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience architecting and operating AWS environments.
• Strong experience with OpenShift deployment, administration, and troubleshooting in production.
• Experience leading or providing technical direction to a distributed/offshore team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the offshore Public Cloud Engineers team with architectural guidance and mentorship.
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud architecture with emphasis on reliability and stability.
• Act as backup technical lead for the OpenShift team during PTO or absences.
• Coordinate with distributed engineers across time zones to ensure clear handoffs and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex AWS/OpenShift production issues and communicate status to stakeholders.
