Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, is seeking a world-class Aviation Regulatory Program Manager to join our Global Aviation Regulatory team. You will lead regulatory strategy to secure and sustain approvals that enable advanced, autonomous drone operations in the U.S.

and around the world. This high-impact role requires navigating complex regulations, defending requests for waivers and exemptions, collaborating with regulators and internal teams, and building scalable systems to manage

Qualifications

  • Experience navigating unmanned aircraft regulatory frameworks (U.S. and international).
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly to regulators and internal teams.
  • History of collaborating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, submit, and defend aviation regulatory requests, waivers, exemptions, and declarations enabling safe, scalable drone operations.
  • Guide customers and partners pursuing advanced regulatory projects.
  • Develop and maintain systems to track regulatory projects' implementation.
  • Translate regulations into internal guidance and actionable plans.
  • Support product demonstrations and validation events with flight testing teams.
  • Provide regulatory advice to product, engineering, and customer support teams.
  • Represent Skydio with civil aviation authorities in regulatory reviews and audits.
