Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Manager to lead end-to-end movement of automotive parts from overseas production to U.S. warehouses.

The role influences delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and growth in a stable leadership position focused on international supply chain excellence. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in supply chain/logistics, with strong SAP/Excel proficiency and automotive industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, materials management, or inventory control.
• Experience managing international shipments and U.S. imports, preferably India-to-US flows.
• Familiarity with automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 environments.
• Knowledge of customs documentation, tariff classification, duties, and import regulations.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, brokers, carriers, warehouses, 3PLs.
• Proficient with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product transportation from overseas manufacturers to U.S. warehouses and customers via ocean, air, and truckload.
• Manage shipment visibility, customs clearance, and import documentation accuracy.
• Lead relationships with logistics partners and coordinate customs-clearance activities.
• Develop inventory and replenishment plans balancing service levels, lead times, costs, and working capital.
• Supervise U.S. warehouse operations and monitor productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review demand, production readiness, and shipment plans.
