Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of venue systems, from design through turnover, while providing technical leadership and stakeholder collaboration in a complex entertainment environment. You will guide design decisions and ensure timely delivery of milestones across multiple vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in direct theme park technical/engineering roles.
• Significant vendor management experience.
• 3+ years of projects experience within the entertainment/theme park industry.
• Experience in Theme park development, construction, show and ride systems design or fabrication is preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of venue systems from design to turnover with technical leadership.
• Manage scopes, schedules, budgets and develop documentation for Capital and Expense Programs.
• Support SOWs, RFIs, RFPs, and specifications and report to senior leadership.
• Oversee contractor mock-ups, prototypes and acceptance testing.
• Ensure designs and docs comply with codes and standards (ISO, IEC, NEC, OSHA, etc.).
• Develop and conduct Acceptance Test Procedures for Venues.
• Support EH&S responsibilities and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
