Job summary

Transamerica in Denver, CO seeks a Manager Finance Accounts Payable / Travel & Expense to lead an AP team and manage the T&E program across multiple countries and currencies.

You will ensure accurate postings, reconciliations, and close activities while working with offshore partners and key internal stakeholders. The role emphasizes strong controls, process improvements, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of accounting/finance experience including three years of supervisory/management experience.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop an accounts payable team.
• Oversee vendor and policyholder payment activity, ensuring timely, accurate payments.
• Manage postings, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and other ledger impacts.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to AP and T&E.
• Own and manage Global AP and T&E processes across multiple countries and currencies.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with external banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee the offshore service provider supporting day-to-day AP functions.
• Oversee and support system changes and testing for Oracle, Ariba, Concur, and related tools.
• Maintain internal controls over AP and T&E, including SOX control execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
