Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking an Operations Director for Aerospace Transparencies to build and lead an international manufacturing and supply chain footprint. The role oversees sites in North America and Europe, drives safety, quality and cost discipline, and partners with S&OP, procurement, and supplier teams to enable strategic growth.

The position is hybrid, with options to base in multiple U.S. locations or adjacent sites, and requires significant leadership, process excellence, and global

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline, engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of operations and engineering experience in discrete manufacturing.
• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Demonstrated success in driving improved performance and metrics.
• Leadership to drive cross-functional teams and develop talent.

Responsibilities

• Be actively engaged in Safety and Quality; lead by example and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor Environmental, Health, and Safety performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop an operations and supply chain culture with bias for action and accountability.
• Monitor and improve KPIs; lead corrective actions to deviations.
• Collaborate with Functional teams leading S&OP, Supplier Management and Development, and Procurement.
• Drive lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts to improve performance and efficiency.
• Lead root cause/corrective action processes and ensure sustained results.
• Conformance with Quality and EH&S policies; ensure CARs are completed.
