Confidential Careers seeks an accomplished accounting executive to provide accounting policy and technical leadership for a multi-billion-dollar revenue business with global footprint and significant operational complexity.

This senior role reports to executive management and leads a team of over 20 professionals, shaping policy, governance, and strategic financial reporting across the organization.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive accounting and finance leadership within a large publicly traded organization.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
• Experience evaluating complex transactions, contracts, and accounting conclusions.
• Exposure to M&A, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
• Experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong executive communication skills translating technical accounting into business guidance.
• Experience leading and developing sizable accounting teams.
• Public accounting experience and CPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting policy and technical accounting activities for a global business unit.
• Provide leadership and oversight across a large accounting organization, including developing senior-level talent.
• Advise senior executives and business leaders on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Partner closely with Corporate Development, Finance, Controllers, Legal, Tax, and other executive stakeholders.
• Provide accounting leadership for M&A activity, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, and other complex transactions.
• Evaluate complex contracts and business arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
• Develop, interpret, and implement accounting policies across a complex operating environment.
• Ensure consistency and compliance with corporate accounting policies and external reporting requirements.
• Support significant business initiatives and provide accounting guidance as new transactions and business models develop.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen accounting governance, controls, and documentation.
