Apryse seeks a Global Accounting Operations Specialist to support accounts receivable across our global entities, focusing on cash applications, unapplied cash, and reconciliations. The role blends AR duties with month-end close and process-improvement activities.

This is a remote position within the United States, with preference for candidates in our Boston, MA hub; you will coordinate with AR, Treasury, and Finance to ensure accurate, timely payments and compliant expense processes.

Qualifications

• General understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply customer payments across global entities, currencies, and bank accounts.
• Match remittances to open invoices and ensure accurate recording.
• Research unidentified, unapplied, short-paid, overpaid, or misapplied cash.
• Coordinate with AR, Treasury, Accounting to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor aged unapplied cash and outstanding items; assist with reconciliations.
• Support month-end close activities related to cash and AR; assist audits.
• Identify opportunities to automate AR and sales-order review processes.

Job description

The Role

The Global Accounting Operations Specialist supports accounts receivable operations across the Company's global entities, with primary responsibility for customer cash applications and other accounting operational tasks.This role ensures customer payments are accurately and timely applied across multiple entities, currencies, and bank accounts and research payment discrepancies and unapplied cash. In addition, this role will also be trained on other accounting operations areas including travel and expense within Concur, accounts payable, and sales order reviews to sales orders flowing from Salesforce to NetSuite to identify and resolve errors before they create downstream billing, revenue, or accounting issues.The role combines traditional accounts receivable responsibilities with broader accounting, reconciliation, month-end close, and process-improvement activities.

Global Cash Application & AR

Process and apply customer payments across global entities, currencies, and bank accounts.

Match customer remittances to open invoices and ensure payments are accurately recorded.

Research and resolve unidentified, unapplied, short-paid, overpaid, and misapplied cash.

Coordinate with AR, Treasury, Accounting, and other stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies.

Monitor and resolve aged unapplied cash and other outstanding items.

Assist with cash and accounts receivable reconciliations.

Concur Finance Review

Perform Finance review of employee expense reports submitted through Concur.

Review expenses for appropriate account and department coding, supporting documentation, required approvals, and compliance with Company expense policies.

Escalate complex accounting or policy matters to the Accounting Supervisor as appropriate.

Support consistent application of expense policies across the global organization.

Accounting & Month-End Support

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to cash and accounts receivable.

Prepare assigned reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.

Provide support for internal and external audit requests.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve and automate global cash-application and sales-order review processes.

Participate in Finance system implementations, integrations, and process-improvement projects.

Support the standardization of AR processes across global entities and acquired businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; 2–4 years of accounts receivable, cash application, accounting, billing, or related experience preferred.
• ~ General understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• ~ Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.
• ~ Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• ~ Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines.
• ~ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a global Finance organization.

Compensation

The compensation for this position is commensurate upon experience, and the range listed reflects total compensation or on target earnings.
