Responsibilities

• Support the Global Accounting team on ad-hoc projects.

This is a full-time hybrid internship at Constellation Brands, located in Rochester, NY. Constellation Brands is a prominent producer and marketer of beer, wine, and spirits, with a global accounting presence. This role is crucial for supporting the Global Accounting team’s operational rhythm, offering the intern direct exposure to corporate consolidations and month-end close processes, thereby contributing to the financial accuracy of a large, multinational organization.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Journal Entry Preparation: Draft journal entries in SAP and OneStream with appropriate level of support.
• Intercompany Transactions: Analyze intercompany transactions and assist in preparing appropriate journal entries.
• Reconciliations: Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations monthly.
• Financial Statement Trends: Analyze monthly financial reporting, comparing historical and current month activity to provide flux explanations.
• Ad-hoc Projects: Support the Global Accounting team in various projects as needed.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Must be enrolled in an Accounting or Finance Bachelor or Graduate degree program, with an understanding of basic accounting and finance concepts including U.S. GAAP.
• Experience: Requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; possesses detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills; demonstrates excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
