Responsibilities

• Monitor transportation scheduling processes.
• Support on-time deliveries for all shipments.
• Determine efficient routing and Value Added Services when applicable.
• Coordinate transfers of finished goods to 3PL sites.
• Communicate with customers, 3PL warehouses, freight forwarders, brokers, and internal departments on transportation services.
• Enter shipment data into customer or freight company systems.
• Calculate shipment specifics (cube, pallets, weight, etc.).
• Work with Accounting to reconcile transportation costs and address overcharges.
• Maintain up-to-date Customs Schedule B numbers and freight classifications; prepare required customs paperwork.
• Investigate causes of damage/shortages and file freight claims.
• Update On Time in Full metrics.
• Track transportation industry trends and export compliance.
