Job description

Join to apply for the Glendale Golf Groundskeeper - hourly role at Salt Lake City Corporation.

This is a seasonal, part-time position employed for six months, with a salary range of $15/hr to $18/hr, within the Department of Public Lands.

Job Description

The incumbent performs various duties to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned golf course grounds, gardens, equipment, and buildings. Responsibilities include mowing, aerating, weeding turf, cleaning restrooms, trash pickup, raking leaves, sidewalk clearing, and debris removal. Operates handheld and light mechanical equipment such as mowers, sweepers, and blowers. Performs other duties as assigned. This role involves unskilled maintenance work.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 16 years or older.
  • Experience in gardening or general maintenance work.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools and gasoline-powered equipment in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform manual labor outdoors and indoors for extended periods, including during inclement weather.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work well with coworkers, supervisors, and the public, demonstrating courtesy.
  • Ability to understand and follow simple instructions and maintain the golf course.
Desired Qualifications
  • Possession of a pesticide license may be required.
  • Previous golf course maintenance experience is preferred.
