Job summary

TruTalent Inc. in Peoria, IL is seeking a Project Manager for a growing commercial glazing subcontractor. This full-time, in-person role is office-based (90%) with 10% site/warehouse duties, coordinating with drafting, purchasing, and field teams to deliver projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has construction PM experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to read architectural/construction drawings. Salary ranges from $70k to $100k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction project management preferred.
• Ability to read architecture/construction documents.
• Proven coordination of multiple teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural construction documents and collaborate with the drafting department to develop project-specific fabrication drawings.
• Manage the submittal and approval process for fabrication drawings with the project's Architect of Record.
• Solicit material and supplier quotes for assigned projects while considering budgets, lead times, and schedules.
• Review project requirements and coordinate material purchasing and deliveries to support timelines.
• Communicate with general contractors, jobsite representatives, installers, and other stakeholders to ensure installation efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with project managers and field operations leadership to schedule installation crews, manpower, and deliveries.
• Plan installation and material requirements weeks in advance to prevent delays.
• Monitor progress and address scheduling, material, drawing, or installation issues.
• Maintain clear communication between office, drafting, purchasing, and field teams.
• Visit construction sites/warehouses as needed to support execution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure work meets requirements, drawings, schedules, and budgets.
