Job summary

AM Glass Inc is seeking an estimator to join our Sales & Client Relations team in a hybrid NYC role. The position focuses on producing competitive and accurate proposals for commercial glazing and ornamental metal projects across NYC, collaborating with designers, clients and vendors to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication, adaptability and a motivation to build long-lasting industry relationships in a dynamic NYC construction market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of estimating experience required (5+ years preferred).
• Knowledge of NYC building codes.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar estimating software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Highly organized and motivated with a relationship-building mindset.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the estimating team to bid assigned commercial glazing projects.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive proposals, including detailed scope drawings.
• Attend project walkthroughs and descope meetings as needed.
• Generate kickoff packages for projects that have been awarded.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and vendors to drive repeat business.
• Contribute to refining systems and improving the efficiency of proposal processes.
