Job summary

The role requires reading blueprints and shop drawings, handling insulated, tempered, and laminated glass, and adhering to safety practices when working with large panels and at height. Experience with glass installation is preferred.

• Read blueprints and shop drawings
• Measure accurately

• Independently install storefront systems and windows
• Reads plans and layouts jobs
• Troubleshoots installation issues in the field

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut and fit glass to precise dimensions.
• Install glass into frames, sashes, curtain walls or storefront systems.
• Apply sealants, gaskets, and weatherproofing materials.
• Remove and replace broken or damaged glass safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specs.
• Operate equipment like glass lifts, suction cups, and cutting tools.
• Ensure safety compliance (especially working at heights or with large panels).
• Assist installers as needed.
