The Glazier / Installer position is the primary product fulfillment role within the company. Glaziers / Installers are responsible for delivering the customer experience in the home as part of the final installation process.
- Thoroughly inspect job materials to ensure the correct size & style, and check for damage or flaws on the products required to complete the job.
- Load all necessary materials, tools, paperwork, and safety equipment into the installation vehicle.
- Communicate with the office and customer if there will be a delay in the scheduled installation.
- Upon arrival, verify the work to be completed, the products to be installed, the installation locations, and the estimated time, while managing customer expectations.
- Install all products and services included in the work order, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues on-site.
- If safe and quality installation isn't possible on the scheduled date, document all issues and necessary materials for a later completion.
- Coordinate with team members about incomplete work, ensuring materials are ordered and customer expectations are managed.
- Maintain the customer's home or business, ensuring it is cleaner than upon arrival, using booties and other protective measures.
- Conclude the installation by instructing the customer on product care, warranty details, and contact information for future service or questions.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of residential glass installation experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass background check and drug test; valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
- Physically capable of performing the work, in good health, able to lift 50-100 lbs unassisted.
- License not required, but top pay is available for licensed glaziers.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with residential glass replacement, including windows, shower enclosures, skylights, etc.
- Experience with residential window and door installation, including new construction and retrofit.
- Skills in window and door maintenance, weatherization, and repair.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred.
- Hardworking, motivated, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
