Job summary

Dal-Tile in Sunnyvale, Texas, a leading tile and stone manufacturer, is seeking a Glaze Prep Technician to support glaze prep and batching operations. You will follow safety protocols, manage raw materials, and assist in scheduling with sister plants.

Qualifications

2+ years of manufacturing experience.
Dal-Tile level II or III glazing certification or 18 months+ experience in the ceramic tile industry with a strong background in machine effectiveness.
High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of safety policies; ability to read/write English; basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Maintain safety protocols throughout the plant and department.
Drive world-class housekeeping in glaze prep and batching.
Follow QMS procedures and collaborate with Quality to develop procedures.
Manage daily/weekly/monthly glaze prep needs and raw materials for batching.
Plan and schedule batching plant orders from sister plants.
Perform month-end raw material inventory counts across glaze line and batching.
Train new hires and existing staff on safe operation of glaze prep and batching machines.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance to sustain operator care programs.
Provide fill-in support for glaze prep and batching functions as needed.
Review mills and mill times daily/weekly to ensure high efficiency.
