Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking an ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma to join a growing department anchored by strong patient referrals and institutional investment.

You will provide diagnosis, treatment and surgical care, participate in teaching, mentor junior physicians, and have potential to develop an anterior segment fellowship while advancing clinical research with the AHN Research Institute.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
• Fellowship training in Glaucoma from an ACGME-accredited program.
• Board-Certified or Board- Eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Pennsylvania Licensure in good standing prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized ophthalmologic care for glaucoma including diagnosis, treatment plans and surgical interventions.
• Assess and monitor glaucoma progression with tests, imaging and tonometry.
• Contribute to teaching/educational activities.
• Offer strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a diverse team.
