Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
  2. Ensure equipment is operated and maintained according to all applicable procedures.
  3. Pick up, clean, dry, and store glassware as necessary.
  4. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  5. Understand, implement, and maintain the quality policy program at all levels; identify, prevent, or correct departures from the quality system.
  6. Perform routine and non-routine work as specified by the technical job description.
  7. Develop and implement operational improvements.
  8. Supervise others in performing client service requirements.
  9. Coach, train, and develop team members for personal growth and operational effectiveness.
  10. Coordinate workflow and monitor daily to meet turnaround times (TAT).
  11. Conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records, and perform succession planning.
  12. Address problems, concerns, and performance issues proactively.
  13. Motivate and foster morale within the team.
  14. Monitor and approve employee time entries.
  15. Support and promote company policies and procedures.
  16. Attend leadership training to expand self-awareness and develop leadership skills.
  17. Perform additional duties as needed for department operations.
  18. Serve as a technical resource, trainer, and troubleshooter within the department.
  19. Recommend operational and technical improvements.
  20. Communicate effectively within the group, coaching and developing direct reports.
  21. Plan and monitor workflow.
  22. Ensure all activities comply with employment regulations.
  23. Perform activities safely and efficiently.
  24. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent), with some science/chemistry classes.
  • Three to five years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Leadership experience.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Second Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with some weekends and overtime as needed. Candidates living within commuting distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
