Job summary

Vitro Automotive Glass Elkin is seeking a qualified Line Operator to manage automated glass production on a 3PM–11PM shift. The role involves operating line equipment, adjusting programmable controllers, and maintaining quality checks to meet customer requirements.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, pass the Manufacturing assessment, and be willing to work overtime. Competitive benefits and a shift differential apply for night hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Select Assessment for Manufacturing test.
• Must safely operate a fork truck with the required license.
• Adequate PC skills to work with computerized systems.
• Must be motivated, self-driven, and organized.
• Willing to assist in other roles as needed.
• Basic understanding of automation, automation equipment, and robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate line equipment and automation including programmable controllers and robots.
• Make tool changes and programming for line equipment and robots as needed.
• Plan daily production needs and address production requirements.
• Perform size checks of glass to meet customer specs.
• Maintain SPC checks and process logs and reports.
• Keep line clean and manage tools and waste.
