Job summary

LECO's Glass Shop in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking a Glass Shop Technician for a full-time position. The successful candidate will follow verbal instructions, adhere to procedures, and learn all aspects of glass blowing with Borosilicate and Quartz glass.

Training includes wet saws, gas torches, auto lathe, laser cutting, drills, and bench work in a warm environment. The role requires following documented procedures, precision in measurements, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Follows shop safety procedures and quality system requirements.
• Understands D-22 Process Sheets and work orders.
• Reads calipers and gauges accurately for specifications.
• Uses decimal and metric measurement systems in tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures in the quality system.
• Fabricate/prepare glassware and parts on bench and machinery (saw, lathe, drill press).
• Inspect own work and finished goods for quality.
• Package and transfer finished goods.
• Handle materials and perform inventory transactions on a mainframe terminal.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Perform other duties as required.
