Job summary

OBE is seeking a Machine Operator to run various glass production equipment within the Fabrication Department. You will follow data from work orders, adhere to quality plans, and ensure precise measurements while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving. You will work with grinders, CNC machines, a tempering furnace, and robotic equipment in a production environment, with opportunities for training and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1–2 years of prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and load the proper data into the machine computer software.
• Adhere to production requirements and quality control plans.
• Measure and inspect each piece of glass to ensure there are no imperfections.
• Operate a variety of production equipment (grinders, CNC machines, tempering oven, robotic equipment).
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while using a tape measure to verify dimensions.
