Qualifications

• Experience in glass and glazing estimating preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills required.
• Ability to analyze specifications and scope thoroughly.
• Proven ability to negotiate professionally and confidently.
• Familiarity with GDS, AutoCAD (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural blueprints and specifications.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for glass & glazing systems.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
• Price storefronts, curtain walls, and aluminum systems.
• Assist in estimating architectural metals, custom stairs, railings, aluminum fencing, and iron works.
• Utilize GDS or similar software for takeoffs and estimating.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
• Assist in preparing and submitting bid proposals.
• Communicate directly with general contractors, project managers, and designers.
• Support sales efforts and help meet company revenue goals.
• Track opportunities and follow up on submitted bids.

Job description

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator / Sales Representative with strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to negotiate and support revenue growth.

This role requires someone who can prepare accurate cost estimates while also contributing to business development efforts, building relationships with contractors, and helping improve our bid win rate.

This is not an entry-level takeoff role — we are looking for someone confident discussing scope, pricing, and strategy with general contractors and project managers.

• Perform material takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates
• Estimate interior and exterior glass & glazing systems
