Job summary

Lippert Components, Inc. is seeking a dedicated operator to load/unload glass, run basic CNC equipment, and ensure a clean, safe work area. You will report defects and adapt to rotating roles as needed to meet production demands.

Prior manufacturing or CNC exposure is preferred, with strong attention to detail and safety practices. This full-time role in a glass handling environment offers steady hours, PPE compliance, and opportunities for skill development within Lippert’s manufacturing

Qualifications

• No formal education or experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• CNC experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Unload glass from equipment after it has been broken out.
• Operate and program basic CNC equipment and handle glass pieces.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and safe.
• Rotate positions as demand allows.

Essential Functions

2. Responsible for operating and programming basic CNC equipment and handling pieces of glass
3. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift leader or production manager

5. Must be able to rotate positions as demand allows.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to non-tempered glass, which poses an increased risk of shattering. The employee is required to stand and/or walk for an average of eight (8-12) hours per day, and may be required to bend, stoop, or lean while performing normal job duties. This position may require regular lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work in a warm environment and should be highly conscious of safety.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with an average of 40 scheduled hours per week with the possibility of overtime as decided by a production manager. The scheduled hours for this position are dependent upon the desired shift.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

This position requires the employee to follow mandatory PPE guidelines. The employee is required to wear Kevlar sleeves and gloves, Z.87 rated safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, grommet sleeves, and an apron.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
