Job summary
Rio Staffing LLC is seeking a skilled Avionics Installation & Troubleshooting Specialist for GA aircraft in the Dayton metropolitan area. The role focuses on glass-cockpit integrations, wiring, and troubleshooting on a Monday–Friday, day-shift schedule, with a strong emphasis on airworthiness and safety.
You will perform retrofits, route and repair wiring harnesses, interpret drawings and ADs, and support compliance with FAA Part 91 requirements. A&P preferred; NCATT or FCC license ideal.
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on avionics troubleshooting and wiring experience in general aviation.
- Proficiency with AC43.13 wiring standards and harness construction.
- Experience with integrated glass flight decks (Garmin G1000/G3000, Avionics suites).
- Own a comprehensive personal set of basic hand tools and specialized avionics tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics retrofits, upgrades, and glass-cockpit installations per manufacturer specs and FAA guidelines.
- Construct, route, and repair aircraft wiring harnesses with precision soldering and crimping.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems on GA aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
- Read and apply engineering drawings, wiring schematics, ADs, and SBs; maintain records.
- Support transponder and pitot-static recertifications to meet 91.411/91.413.
