Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Assembly Worker / Assembly Specialist (Glass Assembler) for the Pittsburg, Kansas facility on the 2nd shift. This contract-to-hire role requires following SOPs, reading BOMs, and assembling complex door components on a production line.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, good math and measurement skills, and the ability to lift heavy parts and stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Able to read BOM and follow assembly instructions.
• Knowledge of door components and door manufacturing generally preferred.
• Able to lift 75+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must follow SOPs and maintain safety practices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, open facility with varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Read the bill of materials (BOM) to verify materials.
• Check materials and finished work against quality specs.
• Label units and position components per SOPs.
• Assemble parts into subassemblies and complete units.
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances.
• Follow directions and SOPs; shift-safe performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; perform other duties.
