Job summary

ScreenBeam Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented GL & Payroll Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in our San Jose office. You will manage bi-weekly payroll, general ledger, month-end close, and U.S. sales tax compliance, with backup support for AP/AR.

The role offers onsite work in San Jose, CA and collaboration across finance functions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, payroll processing, and knowledge of US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of general accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Experience processing payroll.
• Experience with US sales tax filings and multi-state compliance.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with NetSuite, ADP, and Avalara preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll.
• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Perform month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaid expenses, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and file U.S. state and local sales tax returns.
• Monitor sales tax nexus requirements and register ScreenBeam in new states and jurisdictions as required.
• Maintain sales tax registrations and respond to tax notices and inquiries.
• Support financial statement audits and other accounting projects.
• Provide backup support for AP and AR as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

About the Role

ScreenBeam Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented GL & Payroll Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This is an onsite position based in our San Jose office. What We’re Looking For
