Job summary

The Ensign Group is seeking a part-time General Ledger Accountant based at our Dallas Service Centers, TX. You will review expenses, post journal entries, and prepare detailed monthly and quarterly P&L reports while coordinating with facility operators to meet deadlines.

This role emphasizes accuracy, SOX controls, and collaboration with our back-office teams to support our care facilities. DOE; non-exempt; 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2+ years of accounting and/or public accounting experience required.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly detailed P&L packages and partner with the operators of the respective assigned facilities; ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Monitor applicable SOX controls; complete month-end internal controls.
• Maintain accurate and organized records, paperwork, and documentation.
• Analyze data and trends to improve benefits-related processes and recommend enhancements.
• Partner with operators to ensure their financial success and support care for those in need.
• Commit to continuous learning and professional development.

Position Type: Part Time, non-exempt employee

Compensation Range: $31.25 - $40.50 per hour, DOE. Position may be bonus‑eligible.

Location: This position is based at our Service Centers Dallas, TX.

Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off - Close Only Schedule.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant who is interested in working part-time to support key accounting functions that include reviewing expenses, posting journal entries, and preparing detailed monthly and quarterly P&L reports. Additionally, you will work closely with facility operators to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
• 2+ years of accounting and/or public accounting experience, required.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail have always been your thing.
• Ability to manage and meet challenging deadlines while simultaneously prioritizing projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
