HP Inc. is seeking a Software Systems Engineer for GitHub Enterprise to design, implement, and maintain scalable software platforms at global scale. You will optimize performance, ensure reliability, and drive developer velocity through automation and robust architectures.

The role collaborates across teams to deliver production-grade solutions, supports SOX compliance, and mentors junior engineers while shaping the future of platform engineering at HP in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Typically 4–7 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Installs, configures, and tests GitHub Enterprise Cloud/Server environments with expertise and independence.
Monitors and tests application performance for bottlenecks and implements fixes.
Writes and executes testing plans and documentation for assigned portions of the application.
Creates and maintains technical documentation including system diagrams and designs.
Leads a project team to develop reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
Collaborates with management and partners on design status and issue resolution.
Represents the team for phases of larger development projects.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff.
