Greenville ISD is seeking dependable Elementary Instructional Aides to support classroom instruction and campus operations. You will assist teachers in creating a positive, structured learning environment that promotes student success.

Primary duties include instructional support, student supervision, and administrative assistance across classrooms and activities within the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Educational Aide Certificate or ability to obtain.
• ParaSkills Course through STEDI.org may be completed by the District.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers with instructional materials and activities.
• Support individual students or small groups to reinforce skills.
• Help with classroom routines, centers, and assessments.
• Assist with tasks and grading as directed.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and arrival/dismissal.
• Communicate student needs to the teacher.
• Help keep a clean, organized classroom and copy/file materials.
• Support substitutes and participate in staff meetings.

Position Overview

Greenville ISD is seeking dependable and student-focusedElementary Instructional Aides to support classroom instruction and daily campus operations. This position assists teachers in creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment that supports student success.

Primary Purpose

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional support, classroom management, and administrative tasks to promote student learning and achievement in accordance with district and campus expectations.

Qualifications

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or GED required


• Ability to obtain aTexas Educational Aide Certificate (certification may be obtained through the District)


• Completion of theParaSkills Course through STEDI.org (course will be purchased by the District)

Special Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively with staff


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Experience:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Instructional Support

• Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and classroom activities


• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce academic skills


• Support classroom routines, centers, and instructional activities


• Assist with administering and scoring assignments or assessments as directed

Student Supervision & Support

• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal as assigned


• Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behavior


• Communicate student concerns or needs to the teacher

Classroom & Administrative Support

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment


• Assist with copying, filing, and organizing instructional materials


• Provide support to substitute teachers as needed

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate in staff development and campus meetings as assigned


• Support campus events and activities as needed


• Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration

Working Conditions

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and light lifting of classroom materials
