MS - Developer - GIS & Website Developer - MS - MSDH 142880 (100% Remote)
Responsibilities
- Provide GIS and website development technical support to the agency in its projects for the Office of Mississippi Physician Workforce (OMPW) specifically under MS Code 41-123-1 (2023).
- Design dynamic, interactive GIS maps to visualize physician workforce shortages and underserved areas.
- Develop a user-centric, mobile-responsive website for OMPW, focusing on accessibility.
- Embed interactive geospatial dashboards showcasing real-time physician workforce data and geographic trends.
- Implement tools to generate custom reports by region, specialty, and workforce indicators.
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with agency staff supporting the projects and meeting deadlines.
- Assist with collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable more accessible utilization and analysis of the data.
- Maintain and enhance physician workforce datasets in compliance with OMPW\'s statutory mandates.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy for public use and state and federal reporting purposes.
- Support creation and implementation of project timelines.
- Assist with collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data using data lakes, warehouses, lake houses, catalogs, etc.
- Migration of existing website to new hosting location.
- Updates to website as directed - Migration of GIS services to ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Migration of existing Mapper application to new hosting location.
- Possible upgrade of Mapper to newest ESRI JavaScript SDK using Calcite Design System or alternative.
- Conversion of Licensure data as directed.
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Governmental data modernization or project management experience.
- Familiarity with MS government and/or physician workforce.
- GIS Map development.
- Mobile App development.
- ESRI ArcGIS enterprise skills.
- Website development skills.
- Data visualization.
