Overview

MS - Developer - GIS & Website Developer - MS - MSDH 142880 (100% Remote)

Responsibilities
  • Provide GIS and website development technical support to the agency in its projects for the Office of Mississippi Physician Workforce (OMPW) specifically under MS Code 41-123-1 (2023).
  • Design dynamic, interactive GIS maps to visualize physician workforce shortages and underserved areas.
  • Develop a user-centric, mobile-responsive website for OMPW, focusing on accessibility.
  • Embed interactive geospatial dashboards showcasing real-time physician workforce data and geographic trends.
  • Implement tools to generate custom reports by region, specialty, and workforce indicators.
  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with agency staff supporting the projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Assist with collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable more accessible utilization and analysis of the data.
  • Maintain and enhance physician workforce datasets in compliance with OMPW\'s statutory mandates.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy for public use and state and federal reporting purposes.
  • Support creation and implementation of project timelines.
  • Assist with collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data using data lakes, warehouses, lake houses, catalogs, etc.
  • Migration of existing website to new hosting location.
  • Updates to website as directed - Migration of GIS services to ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Migration of existing Mapper application to new hosting location.
  • Possible upgrade of Mapper to newest ESRI JavaScript SDK using Calcite Design System or alternative.
  • Conversion of Licensure data as directed.
