Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a GIS Technician in the United States to maintain GIS records and support data-driven service delivery. You will post OSP work orders, coordinate with engineers and supervisors, and prepare CAD/E/GIS drawings to Uniti standards.

The role emphasizes accurate data handling, collaboration, and problem solving, with an emphasis on office automation and GIS software proficiency in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read GIS and Engineering maps.
• Knowledge of office automation tools.
• Self-starter, able to work with little guidance.
• Teamwork and effective communication.
• Ability to analyze problems and priorities and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post and pre-post OSP work orders to the master GIS and/or design files.
• Coordinate work order process with construction supervisors, OSP engineers and property accounting.
• Log work orders into OSP/Job-Trac database; file work order folders daily.
• Carry out drafting assignments of a routine to moderate nature within Uniti standards.
• Prepare layouts and drawings using CAD/E and/or GIS software.
• Review engineering drawings to verify adherence to standards.
• Analyze design prints and resolve details with other departments.
