Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a GIS Tech I to join our team. The role focuses on inputting data into the GIS system for smaller projects and learning from higher level technicians in an office setting.

Responsibilities include posting data from simple drawings and maps, maintaining records, and assisting with storm assessments as needed. A high school diploma or associate degree is required, with CAD experience and a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and one year of relevant work experience, or an associate’s degree (no experience required).
• GIS program desired.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Responsibilities

• Have a basic level of knowledge in understanding and interpreting simple design drawings, property plats, maps, and other related information as necessary to post data in the company GIS system.
• Be effective in time and work management and maintaining accurate records and files.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
• Perform storm damage assessment work as requested by leadership.
