Job summary

We are seeking a GIS Technician to join a small, privately held Oil & Gas E&P company in Houston. You will support Engineering, Geology, and Land with mapping and GIS data for acreage, wells, leases, mineral interests, and other assets.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining maps, updating GIS layers, researching mineral acreage, and importing data from consultants. This onsite role in the Heights area requires precision and the ability to work across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• ArcGIS Pro experience is a MUST.
• 1–3 years GIS experience preferred.
• Oil & Gas, land, acreage, lease, or well mapping experience is a plus.
• Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with maps, databases, and large amounts of data.
• Ability to work independently and across multiple functions.

This is an onsite role in the Heights area, five days per week. There is some flexibility when needed, but it is not a hybrid position.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
