Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a GIS Service Supervisor to join the Grid Technology Service Substation Upgrades team. You will work on GIS testing, commissioning, and related services for our North American installations, supervising field activities under senior guidance.

You will coordinate contractors and site personnel, develop testing procedures, and contribute to test plans, reports, and compliance records to ensure operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and coordination of GIS testing and commissioning projects at the job site under the guidance of senior staff.
• Support development and implementation of testing procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Participate in thorough testing and performance analysis of GIS and associated equipment to contribute to operational readiness.
• Aid in managing and instructing contractors and field personnel in the execution of testing and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with customers and project partners to support the successful completion of testing and commissioning scope.
• Work alongside engineering and project management teams to learn how to address any technical issues that arise during the testing phase.
• Help in the development of project documentation, including test plans, reports, and compliance records.

As a GISService Supervisor, you will be part of the Grid Technology Service SubstationUpgrades team. In this role, you will work on Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS) Service projects, which involve tasks such as assembly, testing,commissioning, maintenance, service, repair, refurbishment, and upgrades forour existing installations across North America.
