Job summary

XTS’s Digital Services team supports the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The GIS System Administrator role provides essential maintenance of Esri applications, applies GIS workflows and datasets within an elaborate GIS context, and offers administrative support within Windows and Esri environments.

Responsible for guiding analysts and researchers by keeping critical GIS systems up and running, you will collaborate across a veteran team and contribute to the GeoAI scholarship initiative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2 years of experience.
• 4+ years of verified relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Windows 11/Server environment administration and updates.
• Familiarity with Esri software and ArcGIS Enterprise components.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple assignments remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential maintenance of Esri applications and GIS workflows.
• Apply GIS workflows and datasets within an elaborate GIS context.
• Offer administrative support within Windows and Esri environments.
• Collaborate with USGS analytical teams to ensure system reliability.
• Support GeoAI-related initiatives and scholarship programs.
