Job summary

Educology Solutions in Rockville, MD is seeking a GIS Support Professional to assist our GIS program. You will maintain GIS data, support GIS applications, and perform routine GIS maintenance to support infrastructure and tech initiatives.

Duties include editing and validating datasets, QA/QC on spatial and attribute data, data cleanup, updating web maps and services, testing after updates, and GIS data preparation for public safety operations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining GIS data, supporting GIS applications, and performing routine GIS maintenance activities to support the Department's GIS infrastructure and technology initiatives

Duties & Responsibilities

• Performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on spatial and attribute data.
• Assisting with data cleanup, standardization, and documentation.
• Updating web maps, feature services, and existing GIS applications.
• Assisting with testing GIS applications following software updates or configuration changes.
