Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Geographic Information System Specialist to support the Planning Department in developing and maintaining GIS databases, and delivering maps and analytics for internal staff and the public.

The role requires 2 years of experience, a bachelor’s in GIS or related field, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in an office environment with collaboration across teams. You will manage GPS data collection and help implement GIS policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of full-time GIS experience with spatial data and databases.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update GIS databases, layers, and metadata.
• Manage geospatial data collection via GPS and field surveys.
• Create data layers, maps, and reports.
• Produce interactive visualizations for internal departments and the public.
• Collaborate with staff on data collection and integration.
• Develop GIS policies and long-term data management strategies.
