Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Prepare and revise field data collection products, such as WebMaps and GeoPDFs, to meet specific project goals
  • Execute Site File Search research, including retrieving State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) data
  • Create and manipulate various data types and sources, including KML, Shapefiles, and CAD data
  • Produce geolocated maps and web maps from field-collected data
  • Provide quality assurance feedback on cartographic products and troubleshoot minor IT issues related to GIS work

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, anthropology/archaeology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience using ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and ArcMap 10.x
  • 2+ years working with ArcGIS Online
  • Experience working in the archaeology, environmental, or construction industry
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to produce professional draft and final deliverables

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proficiency with advanced data processing workflows and geoprocessing tools within ArcGIS
  • Experience interpreting cultural resource data in reports, maps, and photographs
  • Familiarity with operating hand-held GPS units for navigation and electronic field data collection
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Field experience related to archaeology, including mapping and data recording
