The Town of Johnstown, Colorado, is actively recruiting a GIS Specialist to support the development and maintenance of information systems, including GIS and asset management databases. The role involves data maintenance, map creation, and developing web and mobile applications under the Senior GIS Analyst’s supervision.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in GIS, Geography, Planning, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of practical and relevant experience with asset management systems, geodatabases, ArcGIS, GPS surveying, database development and design.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of information systems, including GIS and asset management databases.
• Perform data maintenance, research, map creation, and geodatabase support using GIS software.
• Develop web and mobile applications and ensure accurate, accessible spatial information for internal stakeholders and the public.
